Eastern Missouri State Hospital Ranks Third Overall

Eastern Missouri State Hospital ranks third in hospitals (501-600) beds in a survey by Mega-Missouri magazine. The magazine conducts an annual poll of its readers in nearly 1,000 categories. This year, the hospital improved its ranking by two positions from 2002.

Door-to-Door Magazine Salespeople
Scam

Eastern Missouri State Hospital today denied
any connection to a scam involving door-to-door magazine subscription
salespeople who claim a portion of subscription sales are going to be
donated to the Cardiac Department.
"There is no such arrangement, and we have not been contacted by the magazine distribution company, David Hospense, CEO, stated. "Eastern Missouri State Hospital does not endorse any door-to-door magazine sales solicitation operation."
The hospital has received hundreds of telephone calls from residents of the greater St. Louis area in the past month, inquiring about the purported connection. Residents who are solicited in this manner should call the hospital Administration Office at 866-897-6415 and ask for verification that the solicitation is valid. If not, they should notify the authorities.

Oncologist Rachel Ann Goldstein Joins
Staff

Oncologist Rachel Ann Goldstein has joined the active medical staff at Eastern Missouri State Hospital. Her practice, Tangent Oncology Associates, is located in the Humbert Medical Office Building in Maryland Heights.
"We're very excited and pleased to have Dr. Goldstein join our staff," said Chief of Staff Howard Bostoff, MD, "especially with the growth in our cancer program." Dr. Goldstein, along with Drs. Jeffrey Janesay and Carla Bissimonti, brings the full-time oncologists on staff to three.
Dr. Goldstein is a 1988 graduate of Urquhart University School of Medicine, is married and has a daughter. Her husband is a senior executive with Marsden Charter Airways.
